In an HVAC system, fan motors play a crucial role in the circulation of air over the evaporator and condenser coils. This circulation is essential for the heat exchange process, where heat is absorbed or released by the refrigerant flowing through the coils. By moving air across these coils, the fan helps regulate the temperature in the conditioned space, ensuring that it remains comfortable.

When air is drawn over the evaporator coil, heat from the indoor air is absorbed by the refrigerant, which cools the air that is then circulated back into the living space. Conversely, when the system is in heating mode, air is circulated over the condenser coil, which releases heat into the space. This process is integral to the efficiency and functionality of the HVAC system, making the fan motors essential components for effective temperature control.
